In an introduction to VFX, we got into groups of 4, and were first shown how to 3D model and add effects in order to create a trailer on a non-existent film, based on a theme of our choice.
Our concept was heavily inspired by "Treasure Planet", focusing on exploring strange space wildlife resembling aquatic creatures. Telling the story of a hunting trip turned sour.
Among other shared group responsibilities, I volunteered for the task of 3D modelling and animating a steampunk pirate ship. Though it's wings were courtesy of our team-member, Rebecca!
